Spam is a portfolio template built for creatives who want big type and bold angles. The hero presents a repeating pattern of the wordmark in heavy sans-serif, split by a diagonal dotted line, with a light gray background and a dark toggle in the corner. The type is huge, the layout is spare, and the palette stays monochrome except for the accent images that appear on the landing variants. Each of the six landing pages explores a different composition: one stacks the wordmark with a tilted red rectangle framing a portrait, another centers a beige-backed image under the same typographic treatment, a third uses layered translucent color blocks. It's a typographic system that repeats and recombines rather than a narrative scroll.
The template includes six landing pages, three works pages, a work detail page, a blog, a blog post, and pages for about, services, and contact. The footer shows links to a style guide, changelog, and licensing page. The CMS powers the blog and portfolio, though the homepage itself doesn't pull from a collection. We like the 3D transforms applied to the image cards on some landings, they tilt and shift on hover in a way that feels playful without being distracting. The dark mode toggle flips the palette cleanly, keeping the same stark contrast.
On a phone, the homepage shrinks the repeating wordmark pattern and stacks the navigation into a dropdown. The type remains bold and the layout stays clean, though the tilted image cards lose some of their spatial drama at small sizes.
We'd pick Spam for a photographer, designer, or agency that already has strong visuals and wants a frame that doesn't compete. The trade-off is that the template leans heavily on your images to carry the color and warmth, and the minimalism means weak photography will stand out immediately.
