Wave Studio is a dark portfolio for a small design studio or freelancer, built around one big idea: the name. "Welcome to" sits in small caps above a huge white WAVE wordmark whose A is flipped upside down. A white pill button saying Get Started sits under it, and below that a row of rounded photo cards drifts sideways, one of them tilted in 3D, from a woman against a hand-drawn mural to a figure in a purple VR headset. The header is only a WAVE.STUDIO wordmark and a hamburger icon, all on pure black with General Sans headings and Satoshi text.
The demo homepage itself is a showcase for the template, with feature cards, a Figma file panel, and a grid of page previews, so buyers launch from one of the home variants. The previews show how much range Lucas Gusso includes. There's a Projects page with an oversized scrolling title, contact pages that open with "Good things happen when you say Hey" beside an underlined form, an about layout with a client logo strip, a blog called a journal, a pricing table with checklists, and even password and error pages in the same black style. A Branding page is set up like a product, with a list of deliverables and an Add to Cart button, handy for fixed design packages.
On a phone, the flipped wordmark shrinks cleanly to fit, the button stays centered, and the photo cards keep sliding in a strip below.
We'd pick Wave Studio for brand designers and small creative studios who want a confident black look and a few ready-made ways to sell services. Every page leans on moody, high-quality photography, so plan your images first. And the main menu hides behind the hamburger even on desktop, which we.d consider opening up.
Based on the live demo, viewed on desktop and on a phone. The Design and Dev scores come from separate independent reviews. See how we score templates.
