Emma Clark

Emma has spent 10 years designing interfaces where the measure of success is how little a user has to think. Her background is in usability and interaction design, and she is most interested in the moment a person lands on a page and decides, within seconds, whether they understand it. That instinct shapes how she reads a template: she follows the path a real visitor would take rather than admiring the layout in isolation.

On the review team she is the reviewer who tests navigation, information hierarchy, and interaction states. She checks whether menus behave predictably, whether forms explain their own errors, and whether the design holds up for someone using a keyboard or a screen reader. When a template scores well with her, it is because it is genuinely easy to use, not because it looks busy.

As one of the six design reviewers, this reviewer scores the design of every template independently. Those six independent design scores are averaged into the published Design Score.
