Marcus Jones

Marcus has spent 10 years as a visual designer working on art direction, composition, and imagery. He is interested in whether a design has a point of view: a deliberate use of contrast, scale, and imagery that makes it memorable rather than generic. He can tell quickly whether a template was composed with intent or assembled from defaults.

When he reviews a template he assesses the art direction as a whole. He looks at how imagery is framed, how attention is guided across a page, and whether the aesthetic choices are consistent enough to feel like a brand. He values templates that give a buyer a strong starting visual identity, not just a neutral container.

As one of the six design reviewers, this reviewer scores the design of every template independently. Those six independent design scores are averaged into the published Design Score.
