Lauren Smith

Lauren brings 13 years of digital design work, with a background in visual communication and campaign-driven design. She thinks in systems of type, spacing, and color, and she has a low tolerance for the small inconsistencies that quietly make a site feel amateur: a heading scale that drifts, spacing that changes for no reason, a color that appears in four slightly different values.

On the team she is the reviewer who audits the visual craft of a template up close. She reads the typographic hierarchy, checks the rhythm of the spacing, and tests whether the visual language stays disciplined when the content gets long or awkward. Her scores reward restraint and consistency over decoration.

As one of the six design reviewers, this reviewer scores the design of every template independently. Those six independent design scores are averaged into the published Design Score.
