The people who score every template
Every template in our library is evaluated by the same team of 11 professionals. Six are designers and five are developers, each with 10 or more years of experience building websites for a living. They are the reason a score on this site means something.
No template is scored by one anonymous person or a hidden algorithm. Each reviewer evaluates independently, from their own area of expertise, and their scores are averaged into the numbers you see on every template.
How the team scores a template
The six designers each rate a template's design on its own merits. Their independent scores are averaged into the published Design Score. The five developers do the same for build quality, and their independent scores are averaged into the published Dev Score.
The Overall Score is the average of those two numbers: (Design Score + Dev Score) / 2. A template has to reach 7.0 Overall to be published at all. You can read the full rubric on our scoring methodology page.
