Rosa is a dark, type-led portfolio for a freelance 3D artist or visual designer, and it puts a face front and center. The hero is a moody portrait of a woman in a black cap, lit from one side, with the name Rosa set huge in warm off-white BDO Grotesk across the bottom left. Small lines of text sit around the edges like a magazine cover: Freelance 3D designer, Based in London, Selected Works 2019-2024, a contact email, and a large All work link with a red arrow. The menu is just Work, About, and Contact, stacked in the top bar.
Jacob Nielsen turns the project list into the main event. Each project, from Package to Printer to Scapes, runs as a sliding row of giant words with a small render between each repeat, separated by thin rules, so the list reads like moving signage. A short bio follows, then a Meet you. heading over a large intro paragraph, a second soft-lit portrait with three small status lines above it, and a Clients table of name, type, and year. The footer switches to a solid red band with a large email link. The Speaker project page opens on a full-screen photo of a wood and white speaker with the title set in the same oversized type and the header floating on top.
On a phone, the portrait still fills the screen, the name and All work link stack neatly at the bottom, and the menu folds into a two-line icon.
We'd pick Rosa for 3D artists, product visualizers, and motion designers with striking renders and a short name. The bio copy leans on generic sales language, so rewrite it in your own voice, and plan for a strong portrait: the hero and about section both depend on one.
