Hotline is a dark agency template for creative studios, and it opens by filling a black page with color. The demo starts on a showcase homepage: a small Available for Work tag, a big centered headline in thin Satoshi, and a row of tall cropped portraits underneath, one in neon glasses against bright blue, another in a fuzzy lilac hat, beside a hot pink abstract. The header is unusual and nice. Instead of a menu bar, the top line lists the studio name, the year, and four services in caps, with a single Menu link at the far right.
Lucas Gusso uses the rest of that page to sell the kit: a Buy template and Explore pair, a card about the Figma file, and a grid of dark preview tiles for each home, about, and work layout, plus pricing, ecommerce, team, and CMS pages. You'd launch from one of the home variants. Home 1 is the strongest: an all-caps headline between two tilted portraits, with one word highlighted in a blue text-selection box. Further down, a phrase like "Crafting identities that spark connections" gets the same highlight treatment, project cards pair a name with a one-line caption, a full-width photo section holds a contact form, and blog cards lead into a giant WE ARE HOTLINE wordmark in the footer.
On a phone, the header trims to the name and Menu, the headline stacks into three centered lines, and the portraits turn into offset vertical cards.
We'd pick Hotline for branding studios and art directors who already have bold, saturated imagery. Without it, the black pages will feel empty. Replace the demo copy carefully, since some project captions borrow a famous brand name, and decide early which home variant you'll keep so the menu doesn't point to layouts you've dropped.
