Nocturne is a dark, editorial site for a brand design studio, and it feels like a magazine spread printed on black paper. The hero is a full-screen studio portrait of a woman crouching against a grey backdrop, with "Turning dreams into brands." centered over it in white Merriweather and a short intro line in a plain sans underneath. The header is just three pieces of text in a row: the Nocturne name on the left, "Studio, Work, Index, Insights" written as a comma-separated sentence in the middle, and an email address on the right.
Nordlab keeps the rest of the homepage short and confident. An About Us block sets a long serif paragraph about the studio in large type, offset to the right of a small label, with a Read More link below. Selected Work follows as a three-column grid of tall photos, each with the client name in bold serif and the project title in grey beneath, and the columns are staggered so the grid never looks rigid. The page ends on "Want to work together?" in big serif type beside Inquiries and Careers emails. The Studio page opens on a close-up portrait filling the screen, with a serif statement about the studio's home city laid over the lower half.
On a phone, the hero portrait and headline scale down cleanly, and the menu collapses into a single Menu text link at the top right.
We'd pick Nocturne for branding studios and creative directors with strong, moody photography. The demo projects carry famous brand names as clients, so replace them with your own before launch. The header also stays fixed as plain text with no background, and we saw it collide with project captions while scrolling.
