Grids&Stuff is a dark portfolio for a branding studio, built, as the name promises, on a tidy grid of rounded tiles. The hero is one wide tile of swirling yellow ink, with the studio name across the bottom in huge off-white Switzer, registered mark included. A slim header puts a ring logo on the left and Work, About, Journal and Contact in the center. Charcoal panels and soft corners keep the opening calm.
Right under the hero, Pixelier Mache packs the pitch into a bento layout. A tall Nimbus Apparel tile shares the row with a smaller Solara Foods image and an In short panel of studio stats in large type. An About tile holds a short mission statement, and a Pinnacle Ventures photo closes the grid. Journal follows with a big heading and an outlined All posts button on the left, and square post images with titles and dates on the right. The FAQ is a charcoal card of plus toggles with playful questions about the espresso machine and the office dog. The footer flips to a light beige panel with the name spread edge to edge and a Scroll to top link. The Work page continues the tile system, opening with a text card beside full-height project photos.
On a phone, the hero becomes a tall portrait tile with the name still on one line, the menu turns into an Open menu text link, and the project tiles stack in a single column.
We'd pick Grids&Stuff for small design studios and freelancers with a few strong visual projects. The grid only feels rich when every tile has a great image, so weak photography will show quickly. We'd also rewrite the jokey FAQ and the sample journal posts before launch.
