Chapters is a Framer template built for photographers and filmmakers who want a portfolio that steps back and lets the work speak. The homepage opens with a full-screen video hero and oversized white type spelling out "Frame by frame" across the image, followed by a tagline about a portfolio system for visual storytellers. The palette is minimal: white text, black text, and full-bleed imagery. The typography relies on Inter Display, set large and spaced generously, with bracketed labels like "Portfolio System" and "Photographers" adding a structured, almost editorial rhythm to the copy.
The demo includes a studio page, a work gallery, a services page, a journal with blog posts, a team page, a careers page, and a contact page. The work section displays project thumbnails in a grid, and individual project pages open to show more images and video. The services page breaks down offerings under headings like "Identity", "Growth", and "Background", each paired with a short description and a full-width background image. The journal posts appear in a simple list, and the contact page centers a short message over another video background. We like the 3D transforms and custom cursor interactions visible throughout, they add polish without distracting from the content. The template includes a 404 page, layout templates, and a CMS setup for projects and posts.
On a 390px phone, the homepage stacks cleanly. The large type scales down but stays readable, the video hero fills the screen, and the navigation collapses into a menu toggle. The layout adapts without clutter.
We'd pick Chapters for a film or photo studio that already has strong visual assets and wants a restrained, typographic frame around them. The design depends entirely on high-quality imagery and video. If your portfolio is still light on finished projects or you don't have compelling video footage, the template's spacious, media-heavy layout will feel empty rather than confident.
