Ryan Cole is a dark portfolio for a freelance brand designer, and it skips the usual headline entirely. The page opens on a row of tall, rounded image cards on pure black, staggered at different heights so they read like prints pinned to a wall: a perfume bottle in hand, a portrait in a green hat and trench coat, skincare boxes, a wet face in hard window light. The menu is reduced to two floating pills at the bottom center, a lime green name button and a grey Menu.
Scroll down and ena supply sets a short intro paragraph in large, airy Darker Grotesque. Case Studies follows as a grid of dark rounded cards, each with an inset photo, the project name, and a small discipline label such as Packaging, Brand Identity, Naming, or Website, closed off by an All Works button with an arrow. A big centered statement sits in the middle of the page, and an Updates section lays out blog cards with grey category tags floating on the photos, a title, a short excerpt, and a lime arrow button. The All Works page puts a year range above its heading and staggers the same cards in three offset columns.
On a phone, the card row turns into a swipeable strip with one portrait centered and the next card peeking in from the right, and the two pills stay pinned at the bottom.
We'd pick Ryan Cole for brand, packaging, and product designers with strong studio photography. Several demo projects show famous brand names on bottles and boxes, so swap in your own work before launch, and replace the name in the pill. The Menu pill is the only way around the site, so check that visitors find it easily.
