Pastel Lab is a portfolio template for creative studios, photographers, and art directors who want a high-fashion editorial feel. The hero fills the screen with a large portrait and oversized serif type spelling out the studio name, flanked by service labels like photography, UI/UX, and art direction. The palette leans on warm neutrals, soft tans, and muted earth tones that give the whole site a calm, expensive look. Below the hero, you scroll past another full-bleed image with a statement about holistic approach, then into a portfolio section labeled "selected work" where project cards show a title, category, year, and a single image.
The demo includes a home page, a work index, an about page, a contact page, and individual project detail pages. The work page shows a simple list of projects with large type and minimal chrome. The about page uses an accordion layout for services, each numbered and expandable. The typography does most of the heavy lifting here, the Boska serif is set large and confident, and the spacing is generous. The contact page is present but you'll need to add your own form or contact method.
On a 390px phone, the layout adapts well. The oversized type scales down but keeps its presence, and the hero image crops to portrait orientation. The navigation collapses into a hamburger menu, and the vertical rhythm stays clean.
We like Pastel Lab for studios that already have strong photography and want a template that frames it without distraction. The limitation is its narrow focus: this is built for visual portfolios, and if you need a blog, a shop, or detailed case study layouts, you'll be building those sections from scratch.
