Lou is a Framer template by Gustave Flowbert, made for a fashion or editorial photographer whose client list does the talking. The homepage is one stack of full-screen images, and the first one sets the mood: a deep red portrait with the photographer's name in big turquoise Inter across the top left. Across the middle of every image runs a single line with the client on the left, the project title in the center and the year on the right, all in colored type that shifts against the photo behind it.
There's very little else on the page, and that's the point. You scroll from one project to the next, a sunlit editorial, a green and white striped still life, a dark car interior, a coiled green cord against the sky, and each image loads in as a coarse pixel mosaic before it sharpens. The name in the corner shrinks to a small label once you leave the top. A plain Menu link opens the rest of the site: work, about, an archive, a journal and contact. The footer swaps to white with an email, a phone number, a studio address, social links and the name set very large. The Work page opens on a giant white "Work" over black. We like the pixel reveal; it gives a quiet image-only page a bit of play without getting in the way.
On a 390px phone each image fills the screen, the name stays readable at the top, and the client line wraps around the photo.
We'd pick Lou for a photographer or director with a set of bold, colorful commissions. Before buying, count your hero shots: every project needs one strong full-bleed image, and muted or busy pictures will fight with the colored text laid over them.
