Cascade is a Shopify theme by Switch built for fashion labels and boutique retailers who want their product photography to lead. The homepage opens with the brand name set in a bold, geometric sans serif stretched across the full width of the screen, with two product images layered on top. The palette is neutral, relying on off-white backgrounds, black type, and the color coming entirely from the garment photography. Below the hero, sections for latest arrivals, coats and jackets, and skirts each show product grids with large, clean images and minimal text. The Inter typeface is used throughout, keeping the interface quiet and letting the clothes do the talking.
The demo includes a homepage, a lookbook page, a blog called Gazette, product detail pages, and a search function. The product page shows a vertical thumbnail strip on the left, a large main image, and a right column with size selectors, add to cart, and buy it now buttons. Below the main details, we see icons for worldwide shipping, ethically made, 30 day returns, and cold wash only, plus an accordion for measurements. The homepage has a scrolling marquee that reads "designed and made in Melbourne, Australia" and a section for collections with view all buttons. A newsletter signup sits near the bottom, and there's a subtle animation on hover over product cards.
On mobile, the homepage stacks cleanly. The brand name remains large and legible, the hero image sits below it, and the navigation collapses into a menu button. The product grids reflow to a single column, and the layout stays uncluttered.
We'd pick Cascade for a small to mid-sized fashion brand with strong, consistent product photography. The design assumes you have high-quality images shot on a similar background, because the template offers little visual structure beyond white space and type. If your catalog photos vary widely in style or quality, the minimalism won't hide it.
