Atypical is a dark agency template from Lucas Gusso, and its best idea is right in the first home layout. A giant white Lora serif "D" fills the left half of a near-black page, with "esign" trailing off its base in smaller type, while thin vertical rules slice the letters before it into fragments. On the right, a serif headline and a short paragraph sit above a Discover Our Work link and a small carousel of rounded photo cards with arrow controls, each card captioned in Satoshi. The header uses the lowercase atypical wordmark with an asterisk logo, dropdowns for Home, About, Work, and Other, and an outlined Contact us button.
The demo's front page is mostly a showcase for the template itself: a grid of framed previews for the home, about, work, blog, pricing, e-commerce, and contact layouts, with Buy Template and All Pages buttons, so buyers start from one of the home variants. Scrolling through one of those homes shows how the rest is built. A full-bleed portrait sits under a dark band, a Who We Are block sets a long intro in light sans-serif, and projects stack as large rounded images, such as an astronaut, a tennis court from above, and a green sports car, before an Explore Projects button. Blog cards with date and category labels lead into a footer with columns for Explore, More Pages, About, and Other.
On a phone, the giant letter is replaced by a small grey "Design" label above the centered headline, and the carousel becomes a single full-width card.
We'd pick Atypical for small branding and digital agencies that want a moody, editorial dark look. Check the demo copy closely before launch, since the hero text repeats a word and the intro paragraph reads like a definition.
