Borders, a Shopify theme from Krown Themes, commits to one loud choice. The demo, a streetwear label, paints the entire page in lemon yellow with black type, and every block is boxed in by thin black rules, so the store looks like a printed grid. The opening is a stack of rounded photo cards numbered 1 / 3, 2 / 3 and 3 / 3 that pile on top of each other as you scroll, starting with "Puffer Jackets" in big yellow capitals. Headings use Funnel Sans, body copy Poppins.
After the hero come round category thumbnails, a long brand statement in giant black-and-yellow type, and a product grid where hovering a card flips it to black with a round bag button. An Explore list sets categories as huge words with small item counts, then arched Popular Categories tiles, an On Sale carousel, a "Goes Well Together" shop-the-look block that pairs a big photo with the matching pieces and a Buy All button, a testimonial area, and a black RAW banner over the newsletter signup. The product page shows material pills like organic cotton and pre-washed, a stock note, and a description with fit details. We like the shop-the-look block, which sells a whole outfit instead of one item.
On a 390px phone the header becomes a row of boxed icons, the numbered cards stay stacked and rounded, and a yellow cookie bar sits at the bottom of the screen.
We'd pick Borders for an independent streetwear or casual menswear label with a strong photo shoot behind it. Ask yourself whether your brand can live with that yellow: it is the background of nearly every section, so changing it means retuning the whole store.
