Shopify Theme Detector

Every Shopify store publishes a small piece of data called Shopify.theme in its page code. It includes the name of the theme the store is built on and its version. We read that data from the store's homepage and show it to you, along with the store's fonts and colors.

Stores often rename their copy of a theme, for example "Dawn copy" or "Summer 2026". We show the original theme name first and the store's own name for its copy underneath. Some themes also come in presets with their own names, which are styled versions of one theme.

Large brands often run a custom theme built just for them, so the theme name is something like "brand-theme" and there's nothing to buy. A few stores also block automated visits, in which case we can't read the page at all.

If the theme is listed in the Shopify Theme Store or sold by a theme developer, yes. When the theme is in our library, the result links to our review so you can see how it scored and where to get it.
